Your support will help us in the following areas:

Volunteer Development, Tracking, and Support

Identification and recruitment of volunteers.
Comprehensive background investigation and reference checks.
Structured, professionally prepared volunteer training that includes the following:
  Medical overview covering types of childhood cancers, treatments and side effects, physical considerations, emergency procedures, and related topics;
  Overview of emotional and social considerations;
  Interpersonal communications skills refresher;
  Tony's Gang policies and procedures.
One-on-one volunteer/child matching services.
Regular conferences and reviews with volunteers and families.

Entertainment Resource Development

Procurement of tickets and passes to local movie theaters, museums, amusement centers, children's festivals, traveling shows, etc.
Planning and development of up to four special Tony's Gang events per year including venue fees, entertainment, celebrity surprises, decorations, food, favors, and door prizes.

Printed Materials and Literature

 

Volunteer mailings and recruitment materials.
Volunteer training manuals.
Tony's Gang newsletter for families, volunteers, and friends of Tony's Gang.
Programs and services brochure.
Child/family mailings.
Invitations to special events.
