Tell Me A Story

Can you think of a more special way to help a child feel loved than holding them close and reading a story together?

You can make it better for children whose vision
is impaired because of their diseases or their therapies.

Children Helping Tony's Gang

Tony’s Gang has launched a very special program for children who battle life threatening illness. Each fall Tony’s Gang joins USA Weekend Magazine and Points of Light Foundation on Make a Difference Day by hosting our "Tell Me a Story" project.

Volunteers are asked to spend their time reading their favorite story onto audio tape for children who have impaired vision or have lost their sight due to their diseases and related therapies.

Child Helping Tony's Gang

In 1998, twenty children at the Davis Elementary School, Marietta, GA read stories onto audio tape for the children. Tony’s Gang combines these readings on an hour long tape. We send the combined tape, tape recorder/player, head set, new copies of the books, and professional tapings of the books, when available, to children across the country.
